Udaipur: On the occasion of International Museum Day 2026, under the ICOM theme “Museums Unite a Divided World,” the City Palace Museum, operated by the Maharana Mewar Charitable Foundation, Udaipur, organized a special event titled “Art in Dialogue: Uniting the Voices.”
On this occasion, the Foundation’s Chairman and Managing Trustee, Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, said in his message that, “Museums are not merely custodians of heritage, but the soul of human civilization and living bridges of unity. Through history, art, and culture, they convey messages of dialogue, understanding, and harmony to a divided world. Museums connect the younger generation with their roots, traditions, and identity, while inspiring them to build an inclusive, peaceful, and purposeful future. On Museum Day, we should resolve that these sacred centers of knowledge and culture continue to unite humanity forever.”
Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Dr. Mayank Gupta, informed that the event featured prominent artists engaged in art, dialogue, and creative interaction, including Divya Bangad from Chittorgarh, Jaya Solanki from Ahmedabad, Dr. Mahesh Kumawat from Abu Road, and Durgesh Atal and K. Krishna Kundara from Jaipur.
In line with the objectives of the Foundation, this special initiative provided a common platform for artists from different regions and diverse artistic mediums, creating an environment of creativity, dialogue, and meaningful exchange of ideas through art. He stated that the inspiring activity strongly reinforces the belief that “art is a universal language beyond boundaries, connecting diverse voices, communities, and stories onto a shared canvas.”
