Inspiring City Tour for Sports Talents Awakens Patriotism, Service Values, and Cultural Awareness Among Children

Udaipur: Under the joint aegis of Ambedkar Sports Association and Gandhinagar Development Committee, an inspiring city tour was organized for the winners of sports and general knowledge competitions held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. The main objective of the event was to instill patriotism, service values, cultural awareness, and respect for the ideals of great personalities among boys, girls, and sportspersons.

During the city tour, participants visited Indraprastha Dham, where they received blessings from Mahant Indra Das Ji Maharaj. Later, the children were taken on a tour of Chunda Palace in the presence of the family of late Ghanshyam Singh Krishnawat and were warmly served refreshments.

The participants also visited the service projects of Narayan Seva Sansthan. Witnessing the institution’s work in medical care, technical education, and self-reliance for differently-abled persons inspired a spirit of service among the children. Everyone appreciated the efforts of the institution’s president Dr. Prashant Agarwal.

In the next phase of the tour, the children were taken to Maharana Pratap Gaurav Kendra, where they were inspired by the bravery, patriotism, and sacrifice of Maharana Pratap. On this occasion, it was also decided to celebrate Maharana Pratap Jayanti on June 17 with great enthusiasm.

The participants also visited the Panna Dhai Memorial, where they learned about the incomparable sacrifice of the great heroine Panna Dhai.

After this, the children visited the workplace of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati located at Navlakha Mahal. There, they explored exhibitions related to the 16 sacraments of Indian Vedic culture, inspirational galleries of great personalities, a film theatre, and displays filled with patriotic spirit. It was also shared that Maharshi Dayanand wrote the famous book Satyarth Prakash during his stay there.

The organizers stated that along with encouraging talents through sports competitions, their primary aim is to develop dedication towards the nation, service values, and cultural awareness among children.

The event received significant support from Kishore Joshi, Vedang Agarwal, Deepak Kandara, Ravindra Rathore, Rajaram Chauhan, volleyball coach Devilal Khokhawat, and several other volunteers.

This information was provided by Sports Minister Vinod Kumar Rathore of Ambedkar Sports Association and Gandhinagar Development Committee.
