Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Katha Concludes with Devotion, Faith, Vedic Rituals and Grand Kalash Yatra

Udaipur: The eight-day Shrimad Bhagavad Gita Katha, organized under the aegis of Sen Samaj Vikas Sansthan, concluded with great devotion, spiritual fervor, and Vedic rituals. On the final day, the organization of yajna-havan, bhajan sandhya, and a grand Kalash Yatra filled the entire atmosphere with religious enthusiasm. Women, men, and youth from the community participated enthusiastically, showcasing religious unity and cultural traditions.

According to the institution’s media in-charge Sonu Sen, the closing ceremony began with Ganpati Vandana and devotional bhajans presented by singers Devendra Sen and Chetna Sen. Thereafter, from the Vyas Peeth, storyteller Pandit Khem Shankar Shastri summarized the teachings of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita and elaborated on the importance of religion, values, service, and spirituality in human life.

Following the discourse, a yajna and havan were organized amidst Vedic chanting, where devotees offered sacred oblations praying for peace, prosperity, and well-being for society and their families. Later, women carrying kalash on their heads participated in a grand Kalash Yatra. The procession began from Sen Bhavan and proceeded to Mahadev Temple. Hundreds of community members joined the procession, carrying the Shrimad Bhagavata Purana and idols of Thakurji on their heads while devotional songs and chants created a deeply spiritual atmosphere.

During the event, storyteller Pandit Khem Shankar Shastri, Pandit Hitesh Joshi, and bhajan singers Devendra Sen and Chetna Sen were honoured with traditional Mewari turbans, shawls, mementos, and honorarium.

Among those present on the occasion were Advocate Dr. Om Prakash Barber, Mahendra Kumar Sharma, Pradeep Panwar, Jagdish Sen, Balakishan Verma, Bansilal Sen, Maheshchandra Sen, social worker Mukesh Panwar, Advocate Hemant Sen, Vimla Sen, Narbada Sen, Nirmala Sharma, Vesar Sen, Usha Sen, and Rajkumari Sen along with a large number of devotees and community members.

At the conclusion, all devotees received Mahaprasad, marking the successful completion of the spiritually enriching event. The program conveyed a strong message of religious awareness, cultural unity, and spiritual values within society.
