State Government Committed to Strengthening Agricultural Infrastructure and Promoting Natural Farming
Roadmap for Agricultural Development in Rajasthan to Be Prepared Soon - Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirori Lal Meena
New Delhi : Rajasthan’s Agriculture and Horticulture Minister, Dr. Kirori Lal Meena, presented Rajasthan’s agricultural perspective at the National Agriculture Conference held at Pusa, New Delhi, on Friday. During the conference, he participated in meaningful discussions with agricultural experts, scientists, and representatives from various states regarding preparations for the upcoming Kharif season and other important issues related to the agriculture sector.
The conference was chaired by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
Dr. Kirori Lal Meena stated that extensive discussions were held on topics such as increasing agricultural productivity, climate-resilient farming, natural farming, self-reliance in pulses and oilseed production, and digital agriculture. On behalf of the Rajasthan Government, important suggestions and experiences related to farmers’ welfare, strengthening agricultural infrastructure, and promoting natural farming in the state were shared during the conference.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Meena said that to fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Developed India – Prosperous Farmers,” both the Central and State Governments are working with full commitment to increase farmers’ income, integrate technology with farming, and make Rajasthan’s farmers more empowered, prosperous, and self-reliant.
He further said that all significant issues related to agricultural development were discussed in detail during the conference to ensure that farmers receive their rightful benefits.
Dr. Meena added that several important suggestions were also put forward regarding the timely availability of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides at reasonable prices to facilitate smooth farming operations for farmers. He informed that the Union Agriculture Minister assured prompt action on these suggestions.
