Rotary Meera Sets an Example of Service During Purushottam Maas

300 Water Troughs Installed to Quench Thirst, Support Extended to Animals and Birds

Udaipur: On the auspicious occasion of Purushottam Maas, Rotary Club of Udaipur Meera launched an inspiring campaign of service, compassion, and environmental conservation under its theme, “From Peace to Fulfillment.” Throughout the month-long initiative, the club not only served the community but also prioritized the welfare of voiceless animals and birds.

Club President Rekha Soni stated that nearly 300 water troughs were installed at various locations, including Nathdwara Road, Mahakaleshwar Temple, Swati Mata, Sapetia, and Bedla Mata, providing drinking water for passersby, animals, and birds. Amid the intense summer heat, this initiative became a vital source of relief for countless living beings.

Under the dedicated guidance and active support of Campaign Chairperson Manjula Gelda, arrangements were made throughout Purushottam Maas to provide daily grain for birds, fodder and feed belts for cows, and milk and bread for stray dogs. Volunteers regularly refilled the water troughs to ensure that no animal or bird faced a shortage of water.

Rekha Soni emphasized that “From Peace to Fulfillment” is not merely a theme but a message of service and compassion. The club believes that true social progress is possible only when responsibility is extended not just to humans but also to animals, birds, and the environment.

The innovative and humanitarian campaign undertaken by Rotary Club of Udaipur Meera received widespread appreciation from local residents and devotees. The club also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing such welfare-oriented initiatives in the future for the betterment of society, environmental protection, and the conservation of animal life.
