The primary objective of the campaign was to make the temple premises and surrounding areas free from polythene, clean, and environmentally safe. As part of the initiative, biodegradable bags were distributed among devotees and local residents, environmental awareness banners were installed, and dustbins were placed at strategic locations within the temple premises. A comprehensive cleanliness drive was also carried out to clean the area and encourage people to maintain hygiene and cleanliness in their surroundings.
A unique highlight of the program was the organization of an eco-friendly havan using Go-Kasth (environment-friendly wood made from cow dung). Through this initiative, organizers conveyed a message of harmonizing traditional Indian cultural practices with environmental conservation while encouraging public participation in creating a cleaner and healthier environment.
On the occasion, Sharad Saxena, Regional Officer, Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board, Udaipur, emphasized the importance of community participation in environmental protection. He stated that such initiatives not only raise public awareness but also play a significant role in achieving sustainable development goals.
Dr. A. B. Rai, Principal of Pacific Dental College & Hospital, said that the institution has always remained committed to its social and environmental responsibilities and will continue organizing such public welfare programs in the future. Dr. Mohit Pal Singh, Hospital Superintendent of Pacific Dental College & Hospital, described cleanliness and a healthy environment as the foundation of public health and urged citizens to actively contribute towards environmental conservation.
