Young Mastermind Achieves a Remarkable Feat: Five-Year-Old Gaurik Lodha Earns Place in India Book of Records
Udaipur: Demonstrating extraordinary talent and determination, five-year-old prodigy Gaurik Lodha from Udaipur has achieved a remarkable milestone that has brought pride not only to the city but to the entire state of Rajasthan. By setting a unique record of playing blindfold blitz chess simultaneously against two opponents, Gaurik has earned a coveted place in the India Book of Records.
This achievement at such a young age is a testament to Gaurik’s exceptional memory, intense concentration, and outstanding cognitive abilities. Without any visual aid, he successfully played against two different opponents at the same time, mentally tracking the chessboard and every move made during both games. His performance left spectators and experts astonished.
The record was officially recognized on April 16, 2026, when Gaurik was just 5 years, 8 months, and 13 days old. Experts believe that achieving such a feat at this age is extremely rare and reflects the potential for even greater accomplishments in the future.
Behind this success lies a combination of structured training and consistent practice. Under the guidance of Dr. Pashmina Jain, and with sensory enhancement training provided by Praveen Parik and Nisha Parik of Jaipur-based A Brain Coach, Gaurik was able to develop and strengthen his mental capabilities. Through regular practice and specialized training, he continuously improved his memory, focus, and analytical skills.
