Women Are the Greatest Ambassadors of Environmental Protection: Archana Singh Charan
Udaipur: The bi-monthly meeting of Oswal Bada Sajan Mahila Shakti was organized at Hotel Fern Residency, where environmental conservation emerged as the central theme of discussion. Chief Guest Mrs. Archana Singh Charan, founder of the Rahda Foundation, emphasized that environmental protection is not solely the responsibility of governments or organizations, but of every individual citizen. She stated that women are the backbone of families and society, making their role in environmental conservation the most significant.
Club founder Dr. Manisha Lodha informed that on the occasion of World Environment Day, a poster and slogan competition based on environmental awareness was organized for women. Through the competition, participants showcased their creativity and awareness regarding environmental protection.
On this occasion, Mrs. Archana Singh Charan distributed Tulsi plants and jute bags to all the women present on behalf of the Rahda Foundation, encouraging eco-friendly practices and a plastic-free lifestyle. Club patron Sadhana Babel administered an oath to all attendees, urging them to actively participate in tree plantation and nature conservation initiatives.
Entrepreneur Manju Bordiya appealed to all women to plant at least one tree on the upcoming World Environment Day and take responsibility for its care through geo-tagging and regular monitoring.
In the poster and slogan competition, Neeta Dhoopia secured the first position, while Manju Sarupariya (R) and Manju Sarupariya (P) secured second and third positions respectively.
During the event, staff members of Hotel Fern Residency also participated in tree plantation activities, demonstrating their commitment toward environmental conservation.
Usha Lodha, Manjubala Chavan, and Hemlata Chandalia played a significant role in the successful organization of the program. The women present collectively pledged to transform environmental conservation into a mass movement and reaffirmed their commitment toward protecting nature.
