Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani’s Five-Day Visit to Uttarakhand

New Delhi/Jaipur: On the first day of his five-day visit to Uttarakhand, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani paid courtesy calls in Dehradun on Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, and the Minister for Panchayati Raj and Disaster Management, Madan Kaushik. Speaker Devnani arrived in Dehradun from Jaipur on Tuesday morning.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Dhami extended a warm welcome to Speaker Devnani by presenting him with a floral bouquet. Speaker Devnani presented the Chief Minister with a copy of a book detailing the innovations introduced in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and shared information regarding the various innovative initiatives and programs currently being implemented within the Assembly. Chief Minister Dhami lauded the innovations introduced by Speaker Devnani.

During his visit, Speaker Devnani paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Ritu Khanduri Bhushan. Ms. Bhushan welcomed him by presenting a floral bouquet. Speaker Devnani presented Ms. Bhushan with a copy of the book *Innovations in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly* and shared details regarding the various innovations and initiatives currently being undertaken in the Rajasthan Assembly. Speaker Bhushan lauded Speaker Devnani's initiatives. Furthermore, she described the Assembly's emblem (logo) as a true representation of the collective ethos of the people of Rajasthan. Characterizing Speaker Devnani's decision to name the various entrances of the Assembly building as both historic and value-driven, she stated that these names serve as symbols of the fundamental ideals of democracy. She noted that anyone entering through these gates would feel that they are not merely stepping into a physical structure, but rather entering a sacred sanctuary of democratic values. Speaker Bhushan remarked that, following the precedent set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in naming various public buildings, Speaker Devnani has accomplished a historic feat by naming the Assembly's entrances *Kartavya Dwar* (Duty Gate), *Shakti Dwar* (Power Gate), *Sushasan Dwar* (Good Governance Gate), *Sankalp Dwar* (Resolve Gate), and *Shaurya Dwar* (Valor Gate). She further described the dedication of the Assembly building's outer gates to the names of Rajasthan's various regions—Braj, Shekhawati, Wagad, Hadoti, Marwar, Mewar, Merwara, and Dhundhad—as an innovative endeavor to integrate Rajasthan's cultural diversity, heritage, and folk traditions with its democratic institutions.
*Uttarakhand's Minister for Panchayati Raj and Disaster Management Extends a Warm Welcome*
Upon his arrival at the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Speaker Devnani was welcomed by Uttarakhand's Minister for Panchayati Raj and Disaster Management, Madan Kaushik, who presented him with a floral bouquet. Mr. Kaushik honored Speaker Devnani by adorning him with a traditional headgear and a stole (dupatta). This traditional headgear serves as a symbol of Uttarakhand's rich cultural heritage, its vibrant folk life, and its glorious traditions. Speaker Devnani and Minister Kaushik engaged in a detailed discussion covering various issues pertinent to both states, as well as the diverse innovations currently being implemented within the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
*Speaker Devnani to Undertake Pilgrimage to Uttarakhand's Char Dham*
Assembly Speaker Devnani is scheduled to depart from Dehradun on June 3 to visit the holy shrines of Yamunotri and Gangotri. Following this, Devnani will spend the night in Gangotri. On June 4, he will arrive at Kedarnath Dham to offer prayers and stay overnight. On June 5, after visiting Badrinath Dham, Devnani will return to Dehradun; from there, he is scheduled to travel to New Delhi on June 6.
*Felicitated Upon Departure for the Journey from Jaipur*
Earlier, on Tuesday morning—as he departed by air for a five-day pilgrimage to Uttarakhand—Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani was felicitated by Assembly officials at his official residence in Civil Lines. The officials greeted him by presenting bouquets and garlanding him, while also extending their best wishes for a pleasant journey. Present on this occasion were the Assembly's Principal Secretary Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Special Assistant K.K. Sharma, Deputy Secretaries Sunil Agarwal and Yogesh Tripathi, Special Officer Pramod Sharma, Deputy Director (Public Relations) Dr. Lokesh Chandra Sharma, Marshal Vikram Singh Shekhawat, Protocol Officer Dinesh Kumar Sharma, and Consultants Naresh Jain, Pankaj Mathur, Manish Saini, and Rohitash Pareek, among others.
