New Delhi/Jaipur: On the first day of his five-day visit to Uttarakhand, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani paid courtesy calls in Dehradun on Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, and the Minister for Panchayati Raj and Disaster Management, Madan Kaushik. Speaker Devnani arrived in Dehradun from Jaipur on Tuesday morning.

Speaker Bhushan remarked that, following the precedent set by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in naming various public buildings, Speaker Devnani has accomplished a historic feat by naming the Assembly's entrances *Kartavya Dwar* (Duty Gate), *Shakti Dwar* (Power Gate), *Sushasan Dwar* (Good Governance Gate), *Sankalp Dwar* (Resolve Gate), and *Shaurya Dwar* (Valor Gate). She further described the dedication of the Assembly building's outer gates to the names of Rajasthan's various regions—Braj, Shekhawati, Wagad, Hadoti, Marwar, Mewar, Merwara, and Dhundhad—as an innovative endeavor to integrate Rajasthan's cultural diversity, heritage, and folk traditions with its democratic institutions.

Upon his arrival at the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Speaker Devnani was welcomed by Uttarakhand's Minister for Panchayati Raj and Disaster Management, Madan Kaushik, who presented him with a floral bouquet. Mr. Kaushik honored Speaker Devnani by adorning him with a traditional headgear and a stole (dupatta). This traditional headgear serves as a symbol of Uttarakhand's rich cultural heritage, its vibrant folk life, and its glorious traditions. *Speaker Devnani to Undertake Pilgrimage to Uttarakhand's Char Dham*
Assembly Speaker Devnani is scheduled to depart from Dehradun on June 3 to visit the holy shrines of Yamunotri and Gangotri. Following this, Devnani will spend the night in Gangotri. On June 4, he will arrive at Kedarnath Dham to offer prayers and stay overnight. On June 5, after visiting Badrinath Dham, Devnani will return to Dehradun; from there, he is scheduled to travel to New Delhi on June 6.

Earlier, on Tuesday morning—as he departed by air for a five-day pilgrimage to Uttarakhand—Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani was felicitated by Assembly officials at his official residence in Civil Lines. The officials greeted him by presenting bouquets and garlanding him, while also extending their best wishes for a pleasant journey. Present on this occasion were the Assembly's Principal Secretary Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Special Assistant K.K.
