Professor Mishra Retires from Rajasthan Ayurved University After 30 Years of Distinguished Service
Udaipur: Professor Pramod Kumar Mishra, Head of the Department of Kayachikitsa (Internal Medicine) at the Post Graduate Institute of Ayurveda (PGIA), Jodhpur, under Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University, retired from government service after completing 30 years of dedicated and distinguished service.
On this occasion, the university organized a heartfelt farewell ceremony in his honour, recognizing his significant contributions to Ayurvedic education, healthcare, and academic administration throughout his illustrious career.
During his tenure, Professor Mishra served in various important academic and administrative positions and made valuable contributions to public welfare and the advancement of Ayurvedic education. He held the position of Head of the Postgraduate Departments of Kayachikitsa, Kaumarbhritya (Pediatrics), and Swasthavritta (Preventive and Social Medicine). He also served as the Superintendent of Sanjeevani Ayurvedic Hospital.
In addition, Professor Mishra contributed to the university’s academic development as Chairman of the Board of Studies and as a member of the Academic Council, playing a key role in curriculum development, research promotion, and academic governance.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Principal of PGIA Professor Chandan Singh, Dean of Ayurveda Professor Mahendra Sharma, Chairman of the Student Welfare Board Professor Govind Gupta, Research Dean Professor Devendra Chahar, former Rasayanshala In-charge Dr. Vijaypal Tyagi, Dr. Rajeev Soni, faculty members, postgraduate scholars, and university staff.
The gathering acknowledged Professor Mishra’s dedication, leadership, and invaluable service to the institution and wished him a healthy, happy, and fulfilling post-retirement life.
