Udaipur: Under the guidance of Dr. Narayan Lal Meena, Professor at Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology (MPUAT), Udaipur, mushroom cultivation equipment was distributed to tribal farmers in Bobrawada, a revenue village under Gram Panchayat Gurad of Phalasia Panchayat Samiti. The farmers were also provided training on modern agricultural techniques and scientific mushroom cultivation methods.
The program was attended by Rajasthan’s Tribal Area Development Minister, Babulal Kharadi, as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that mushroom cultivation is a modern and profitable agricultural enterprise that can help rural families achieve self-employment and economic self-reliance.
The Minister stated that mushroom production not only increases farmers’ income but also improves nutritional standards, thereby helping address the problem of malnutrition in tribal and rural communities. He urged farmers to adopt innovative farming practices and take advantage of emerging opportunities in the agricultural sector.
During the program, the Minister also informed participants about various welfare and agricultural schemes of the Rajasthan Government and encouraged them to avail maximum benefits from these initiatives. Information regarding the Vande Ganga Water Conservation Campaign was also shared with the farmers.
Participants highlighted the need for higher subsidies on solar-powered agricultural pumps and solar energy systems for farmers in tribal areas to promote sustainable and cost-effective farming.
Agricultural experts provided detailed guidance on modern farming technologies, scientific methods of mushroom cultivation, and the importance of adopting innovation in agriculture. Students from the region were also encouraged to pursue agricultural science and technical education and contribute to agricultural innovation and rural development.
On this occasion, Dhanraj Garasia, Constitutional Fellow of Samvidhan Sandarbh Bobrawada, addressed the gathering and raised awareness about constitutional values, citizens’ rights, and duties.
Among those present were social workers Ganesh Meghwal, Avinash Kumar Nagda, Kishan Singh, former BJP General Secretary Mangilal Patel, along with a large number of farmers and local residents.
The primary objective of the program was to connect farmers with modern agricultural technologies, enhance their income, and empower them to become self-reliant through sustainable and innovative farming practices.
