New Delhi/Jaipur: Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Shri Vasudev Devnani paid courtesy calls on Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla in New Delhi on Saturday. Speaker Devnani had returned to New Delhi that same day following a five-day 'Char Dham' pilgrimage in Uttarakhand.

During his meetings with Vice President Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Speaker Devnani invited them to the celebrations marking the 75th year (Amrit Mahotsav) of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly; both dignitaries graciously accepted the invitation. Speaker Devnani informed them that four major events would be organized during the Amrit Mahotsav—spanning from July of this year to 'Rajasthan Diwas' in March of next year. These events include an All-India Legislative Conclave, a conference of women legislators from across the country, a program to familiarize youth with parliamentary decorum, a conference and felicitation ceremony for former and current legislators, and special sessions featuring constitutional experts.

Speaker Devnani shared detailed information with both leaders regarding the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly's glorious 75-year journey and the various innovations introduced in the state assembly over the past two years. He noted that the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly has been addressed by several of the nation's top leaders, including the first Prime Minister Shri Jawaharlal Nehru and Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Shri Devnani mentioned that, for the first time since the Assembly's inception, new names have been assigned to all its gates, and a dedicated emblem (logo) has been unveiled. The logo features the Ashoka Emblem, the national flag (Tiranga), and a depiction of the Assembly's magnificent building. It also incorporates Rajasthan's state animal (camel), state bird (Great Indian Bustard/Godawan), and state tree (Khejri), alongside the Sanskrit motto "Rashtraya Dharmanishtha Vidhayika" (A Legislature Dedicated to the Nation) and an artistic motif resembling a stalk of grain. Assembly Speaker Shri Devnani also presented both of them with a replica of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly's emblem (logo).

During the meeting, Shri Devnani discussed various issues concerning the country and the state. He also shared memories of his recent visit to Uttarakhand and presented them with *prasad* from the Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath temples.
