Udaipur, The vibrant spirit of Udaipur's performing arts resonated across the nation as Sur Sangam Music and Dance Academy delivered an outstanding performance at the prestigious Indian Dance Festival 2026, held in Panaji, Goa. Competing against talented participants from across India, the academy's young dancers secured numerous national accolades, bringing pride to both Udaipur and Rajasthan.
Under the expert guidance of renowned dance mentor Renu Gorer, a contingent of 27 gifted students showcased exceptional talent across various dance categories. Their captivating performances, rooted in Indian classical traditions, folk culture, and contemporary interpretations, won the admiration of judges and audiences alike.
The internationally recognized festival witnessed remarkable achievements from the academy. In the Semi-Classical Solo Category, Dr. Purva Agrawal and Chahak Jaroli secured the second position, while Aavya Vaishya and Divita Agrawal earned the title of First Runner-Up. Jenisha Mehta was honored with the Runner-Up Award for her impressive performance.
The academy's students excelled in the Kathak category, where Harshita Toshniwal and Aanvi Mohale emerged as winners. Bhavyanshi Dashora claimed the First Runner-Up position, while Durvangi Vardar secured the First Runner-Up title in the Minor Solo Dance category.
Adding to their impressive medal tally, participants also won top honors in the Minor Category, secured second place in the Sufi Dance Competition, and achieved the First Runner-Up position in the Semi-Classical Group Dance (Open Category) with a mesmerizing team performance.
The festival's chief guest, Vidya Lal (Delhi), and special guest Vaishnavi Patil (Mumbai) applauded the young artists and emphasized the crucial role of youth in preserving and promoting India's rich dance heritage.
Speaking on the occasion, dance guru Renu Gorer congratulated all the winners and attributed the success to their unwavering dedication, discipline, and countless hours of practice.
