Manali Educational Trek Camp Becomes a Unique Blend of Nature, Culture, and Adventure

Udaipur: Under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Jaipur, a State-Level Educational Trek and Hiking Camp is being organized in Manali. The camp is being conducted in two phases—from June 1 to 5, 2026, for Rovers and Rangers, and from June 6 to 10, 2026, for Scouters and Guiders. Participants from districts across Rajasthan are taking part in the event.

Guide Captain Abhilasha Mishra of Udaipur informed that participants from Udaipur district include Meenakshi Daya from Government Senior Secondary School, Madadi (Phalasia), Jyoti Bala Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Ambamata, Sonika Verma from Government Senior Secondary School, Bachhar, Sejal Paliwal and Urmila Vaishnav from the Annie Besant Open Ranger Team, Suresh Kumar Prajapat from Uday Open Crew, and Lakshman Singh from Government Senior Secondary School, Mehro Ka Guda.

She explained that the State-Level Educational Trek and Hiking Camp is organized every year in June in different states across India. The primary objective of the camp is to familiarize participants with the culture, traditions, and cuisine of various regions. This year, the camp is being held in the scenic Manali–Solang Valley region, with participants representing all districts of Rajasthan.

Scout Captain Sunil Kumar Soni of Udaipur stated that participants were taken on educational and recreational visits to several prominent tourist and cultural destinations, including Solang Valley, Anjani Mahadev, Solang Adventure Ground, Manikaran Gurudwara, Shiv-Parvati Temple, Ram Temple, Rohtang Pass, Atal Tunnel, Sissu Village, Koksar, Kullu, Vashisht Temple, Hadimba Temple, Mall Road, and local markets.

The camp commenced with the Scout and Guide flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by an introduction session where participants and camp staff acquainted themselves with one another. Throughout the camp, participants engaged in daily excursions and educational activities, allowing them to experience the breathtaking landscapes, natural beauty, and cultural heritage of Manali and its surrounding regions.

The educational trek camp has provided participants with a memorable opportunity to learn, explore, and develop leadership and teamwork skills while enjoying the serene beauty of the Himalayas.
