Focus on Women Empowerment at Nari Chaupal

Udaipur: With the objective of promoting women’s empowerment and creating awareness about various public welfare schemes among women, the Department of Women and Child Development organized a Nari Chaupal and Nari Shakti Vandan program on Wednesday at the SIERT Auditorium located at Saheliyon Ki Bari. A large number of women and members of Self-Help Groups enthusiastically participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering, Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Keval Ramani emphasized that women’s empowerment is a highly relevant issue that requires continuous discussion and engagement. She encouraged women to stay informed about government welfare schemes, make maximum use of the benefits available to them, and motivate others to do the same. She stated that awareness and active participation are key to achieving social and economic empowerment for women.

During the program, departmental officials and stakeholders provided detailed information about various schemes implemented by the Women Empowerment Department and the benefits available under them. Beneficiary women of different schemes were also presented with cheques and encouraged to move forward on the path of self-reliance and financial independence.

Additional District Collector (City) Jitendra Ojha, Deputy Director of the Women Empowerment Department Sanjay Joshi, Deputy Director of the Integrated Child Development Services Department Nandlal Meghwal, along with officials from various departments and a large number of women participants, were present on the occasion.
