Udaipur: In accordance with the directions of the State Government, Rural and Urban Service Camps were launched across Udaipur district on Friday. Under the supervision of District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, camps are being organized in various gram panchayats and urban areas to provide citizens with access to multiple government services and welfare schemes at a single location.
During his visit to Udaipur, District In-Charge Minister Hemant Meena reviewed the functioning of an Urban Service Camp.
The Minister inspected the camp being conducted at the premises of the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) and reviewed the arrangements made for the public. He gathered information about the services being provided by various government departments and interacted with beneficiaries attending the camp. On the occasion, he also distributed benefits under various government schemes.
Addressing the gathering, Minister Hemant Meena stated that the State Government’s Service Camps are translating the principles of public service, good governance, and public welfare into reality. He said that the objective of these camps is to provide prompt solutions to citizens’ grievances and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach people at their doorstep. He emphasized that the government is committed to making citizens’ lives easier and more convenient and is ensuring that no eligible individual is deprived of the benefits of welfare schemes.
The Minister directed officials to address the concerns of every visitor with sensitivity and efficiency and instructed all departments to work in coordination to maximize public outreach and benefits. He remarked that Service Camps serve as an effective platform for strengthening communication and trust between the government and the public.
The inspection was attended by Member of Parliament Dr. Mannalal Rawat, Divisional Commissioner Pragya Kevalramani, District Collector Gaurav Agrawal, Municipal Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, UDA Secretary Hemendra Nagar, social worker Gajpal Singh Rathore, former Deputy Mayor Paras Singhvi, along with public representatives and government officials.
On the first day of the campaign, service camps were organized in several rural and urban locations across the district.
In rural areas, camps were held at Nayakheda (Barapal Tehsil), Bhaisarakalan (Kurabad), Chirwa (Badgaon), Ladani and Vasnikala (Mavli), Maharaj Ki Khedi (Vallabhnagar), Barodiya (Bhinder), Kachhba (Gogunda), Bokhada (Sayra), Devas and Chandrawas (Jhadol), Jetawada and Kolyari (Phalasia), Badla (Kherwara), Harshawada (Nayagaon), Sagwada (Rishabhdeo), and Kotda, Gaupipla, and Bikarni (Kotda).
In urban areas, camps were organized for Wards No. 1, 2, 3, and 80 of the Udaipur Municipal Corporation at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium premises. Similar camps were held for Wards 1 and 2 in Bhinder Municipality, and for Ward 1 in the municipalities of Fatehnagar-Sanwad, Kanod, Mavli, and Vallabhnagar.
Additionally, a service camp commenced at the Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) for residents of Badgaon, Chikalwas, Katara, Paldi, Devali, Govardhan Vilas, Savina, Savina Kheda, Amberi, Bhuvana, Roopnagar, Sukher, Lakadwas, Madri Paneriyon, Madri Purohitan, and Manwakheda areas.
The service camps will continue to facilitate access to government services and welfare schemes while ensuring prompt grievance redressal and greater public participation in governance.
