Sameer Rohida Sets Inspiring Example by Donating Blood for the 51st Time
Udaipur, Marking World Blood Donor Day, Lions Club Ashoka organized a large-scale blood donation camp at the Blood Bank of Maharana Bhupal Hospital, bringing together club members and voluntary donors in a collective effort to support lifesaving healthcare services.
Club President Mukesh Madhavani said the camp reflected the spirit of service, dedication, and humanity. He highlighted that the event’s coordinator, Sameer Rohida, set an inspiring example by donating blood for the 51st time, reinforcing the message that blood donation is one of the noblest forms of community service.
Club Secretary Shrichand Khathuria expressed gratitude to the dedicated donors who have repeatedly contributed to this humanitarian cause. Among those recognized for their remarkable commitment were Sameer Rohida (51 donations), Manish Jain (41 donations), Amit Jain (36 donations), and Mukesh Madhavani (27 donations).
Other active donors included Manish Wadhwani, who has donated blood 17 times, Nilesh Dodeja (4 times), and Moni Khan (2 times). First-time donors Manoj Agrawal and Kunal Ji also stepped forward to contribute, while NRI donor Hussain Ji strengthened the campaign with his participation.
The success of the camp was made possible through the efforts of club members, including Dharmveer Deval, Bhuvneshwar Mathur, Arun Chaubisa, Shakuntala Jain, and several other volunteers.
The hospital administration also extended valuable support through Dr. Sanjay Prakash, Dr. Devagya Chauhan, Dr. Sainu, and Abhishek, ensuring the smooth conduct of the donation drive.
Concluding the event, Sameer Rohida thanked all donors, doctors, and volunteers for their support and announced that Lions Club Ashoka would continue organizing blood donation camps every year on World Blood Donor Day. He emphasized that regular donation drives are essential to ensuring a timely supply of blood for patients in need and helping save more lives.
