Devotees throng Bhagwat Katha finale, spiritual discourse emphasizes charity and unity

Udaipur, A week-long Shrimad Bhagwat Katha Mahotsav organized by Shri Tailik Sahu Samaj Panch Mahasabha (Chhah Baithak) concluded on a devotional and spiritually uplifting note at Maheshwari Seva Sadan, Teej Ka Chowk, during the sacred Purushottam Maas.

On the final day of the discourse, revered storyteller Pandit Anantram Shastri elaborated on the significance of charity, stating that selfless donations made with a pure heart enrich life and pave the way for spiritual growth. He emphasized that generosity and service remain among the highest virtues in Sanatan Dharma.

Narrating the divine episodes from the life of Lord Krishna, Shastri captivated the audience with descriptions of Krishna’s 16,108 marriages and the deeper spiritual messages associated with these events. He recounted the stories of Jambavati Vivah, the Syamantaka Mani, Satyabhama Vivah, and the liberation of 16,100 captive princesses following the defeat of the demon Bhaumasura. The audience listened with rapt attention as these episodes unfolded with devotional fervour and philosophical insight.

The atmosphere turned especially vibrant during the concluding bhajan session. As the devotional song “Radhe-Radhe Karo Karo Paani Lage” echoed through the venue, devotees rose in celebration, singing and swaying in devotion. The entire pandal resonated with chants, bhajans, and spiritual enthusiasm.

Addressing the gathering, society president Advocate Hemendra Pandiyar said the event had become a symbol of unity, harmony, and unwavering faith in Sanatan Dharma. He highlighted the active participation of all six community groups—Baldev Baithak, Mandi Baithak, Gangaram Ji Baithak, Mewar Baithak, Bedla Baithak, and Bhuvana Baithak—demonstrating the collective strength and solidarity of the Sahu community.

The concluding ceremony witnessed the presence of office-bearers from all six groups along with a large number of community members and devotees. Event coordinator Jagdish Chandra Pandiyar expressed gratitude to all supporters, volunteers, and participants for contributing to the success of the seven-day spiritual gathering.

Providing details of upcoming religious programmes, General Secretary Kanhaiyalal Nainawa informed that a Khatu Shyam Sandhya will be organized on June 15, 2026, followed by a Mahaprasadi at Oswal Bhawan on June 16. He further announced that all community business establishments would remain closed on the occasion to enable maximum participation.

The celebrations will culminate with a grand religious procession on Tuesday, in which devotees and community members are expected to participate enthusiastically, reaffirming their devotion to faith, culture, and tradition
