Scout-Guides Experience Nature and Adventure Tourism During Manali Educational Trek Camp
Udaipur: Under the aegis of the Rajasthan State Bharat Scouts and Guides Headquarters, Jaipur, a State-Level Educational Trek and Hike Camp was organized for Scouters and Guiders in Manali’s Solang Valley from June 6 to 10, 2026. The educational tour witnessed participation from Scout and Guide leaders representing various districts across Rajasthan.
Guide Commissioner Abhilasha Mishra informed that participants from Udaipur district included Meenakshi Daya from Government Senior Secondary School, Madadi Phalasia; Jyoti Bala Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Ambamata; Sonika Verma from Government Senior Secondary School, Bachhar; Laxman Singh from Government Senior Secondary School, Mehro Ka Guda; and Suresh Kumar Prajapat from Uday Open Crew.
Scout Commissioner Sunil Kumar Soni stated that participants were taken on educational and sightseeing visits to Solang Valley, Anjaneshwar Mahadev Temple, Solang Adventure Ground, Manikaran Gurudwara, Shiva-Parvati Temple, Ram Temple, Rohtang Pass, Atal Tunnel, Sissu Village, Koksar, Kullu, Vashisht Temple, Hadimba Temple, Mall Road, and local markets.
Participant Jyoti Bala Sharma shared that the camp was conducted under the leadership of State Organization Commissioner Puran Singh Shekhawat, with support from staff members CO Scout Deepesh Sharma, CO Scout Govind Meena, CO Scout Yogendra, CO Guide Vijayalakshmi, and CO Guide Sunita Meena.
Participant Meenakshi Daya said that the camp commenced with the Scout and Guide flag hoisting ceremony, followed by an introduction session where participants and camp staff got acquainted with one another.
Participant Laxman Singh remarked that the snow-covered mountains were a major attraction. Throughout the camp, participants visited various scenic locations from morning till evening and enjoyed the breathtaking beauty of Manali’s picturesque valleys.
The camp provided an excellent opportunity for participants to experience nature, adventure tourism, cultural heritage, and team-building activities while enhancing their knowledge and leadership skills.
