Udaipur: When hundreds of women stepped onto the streets together, the silence of the night gave way to cheers, applause, and an atmosphere charged with enthusiasm. The occasion was “Night Run 2.0,” organized by the Yashwant Foundation, which witnessed an inspiring display of women’s strength, confidence, and unity on the streets of Udaipur.
Held under the leadership of Foundation Convener Kanishka Shrimali, the event saw the participation of nearly 300 women. The route from Mahakal Temple to Rajiv Gandhi Park became a symbol of determination and resilience as women from different age groups came together to celebrate fitness and empowerment.
Throughout the run, the synchronized footsteps and spirited energy of the participants created an unforgettable atmosphere. There were moments when fatigue set in, breathing became difficult, and the pace slowed. Yet, women paused only to support and motivate one another before resuming the run with renewed determination.
The event reflected a powerful message: women may face challenges and moments of exhaustion, but their spirit remains unbreakable, and they continue moving forward despite every obstacle.
The run was flagged off by Chief Guest Maharani Nivrutti Kumari Mewar, who addressed the gathering and emphasized that women are inherently strong and resilient.
She noted that women spend their lives fulfilling responsibilities—before marriage, caring for parents and siblings, and after marriage, dedicating themselves to their husbands, children, and families. She encouraged women to prioritize their own health and well-being, stating that staying fit requires continuous movement and self-care. According to her, the run symbolized the need for women to move forward not only for their families but also for themselves.
At the conclusion of the event, former District Collector Tarachand Meena attended as the chief guest and presented awards to winners in two categories: 15–35 years and 35–60 years and above. He appreciated the participants for their enthusiasm and highlighted the remarkable spirit displayed by senior women runners, whose energy matched that of the younger participants.
The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including former Minister of State Jagdishraj Shrimali, Dr. Deepa Singh of Earth Diagnostic, Tarika Bhanu Pratap Singh, Mukesh Madhvani, Usha Chaudhary, Smita Chaudhary, Pawan Ji, RAS officer Shilpa Saxena, CI Sushila Khoiwal, Youth Congress President Harshvardhan Singh Kelawat, Rajiv Surana, Bhupesh Parmar, Ajit Chaudhary, Kamal Barolia, Chetan Jain, Mrinal Kumawat, Meenakshi Bhairwani, Santosh Vashishtha, Siddharth Soni, Chandrakala Chaudhary, and many other distinguished guests.
Adding to the excitement, young children from Let Us Hoop delivered an impressive hula-hoop performance that received enthusiastic applause from the audience. A special attraction of the evening was the presence of Nitya Singh, a gold medalist from Indore, who inspired participants with her message on fitness and healthy living.
The event was skillfully anchored by Surya Prakash Suhalka.
The success of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of team members Ishika Trivedi, Jagrut Shrimali, Harshita Shrimali, Vishwavijay Singh Kelawat, Aryan, Amanjot Singh, Atish Malviya, Jeetu Salvi, Chirag Shrimali, Karan Shrimali, Gaurav Singh, Sumit Mali, and Jaivardhan Singh, along with many other volunteers.
