Pandit Jitendra Mohan Bhatt Urges People to Resolve to Incorporate the Teachings of the Bhagwat into Their Lives*

Instructive Discourse at Udaipur’s Renowned Jagdish Temple on the Final Day of the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha*

Neeti Gopendra Bhatt

Udaipur. On the final day of the *Purushottam Maas* (an auspicious extra month in the lunar calendar), while reciting the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha from the *Vyas Peeth* (scriptural pulpit) at the historic city of Udaipur’s renowned Jagdish Temple, Pandit Jitendra Mohan Bhatt called upon the people to resolve to incorporate the messages of the Bhagwat into their lives. He noted that the occasion of *Somvati Amavasya* (a new moon day falling on a Monday) had made the final day of this auspicious month even more spiritually rewarding.

At the conclusion of the narrative, the narrator, Pandit Bhatt, urged the devotees to embrace a life grounded in truth, compassion, service, virtuous conduct, and righteousness. In his discourse, referencing the dialogue between King Parikshit and Shukdev Ji, he explained that the fear of death can be dispelled only through seeking refuge in the Divine and attaining self-realization.

Pandit Bhatt reiterated that in the *Kaliyuga* (the current cosmic age), the remembrance of the Lord’s name, devotion, spiritual gatherings (*satsang*), and service constitute the supreme path to the welfare of human life. The event concluded with *bhajans* (devotional songs), *Aarti* (ritual worship), and *Purnahuti* (final offering), followed by the distribution of *Prasad* among the assembled devotees.
