Dr. Nirmal Yadav of Udaipur Honoured by the President of India

Udaipur: Renowned artist Dr. Nirmal Yadav of Udaipur was honoured by the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, June 15, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the field of art. The President felicitated Dr. Yadav with a memento and a ceremonial shawl.

As part of a special initiative, 13 distinguished artists from across the country were invited to participate in a 10-day Art Residency Programme held from June 4 to June 14. The programme provided an opportunity for the artists to showcase and exchange insights into their unique artistic styles and creative practices.

Dr. Yadav was invited to the residency owing to his extensive experience and expertise across multiple disciplines of visual art. His work encompasses a wide range of styles, including Miniature Painting, Realism, Contemporary Art, Conceptual Art, Heritage Restoration, Aesthetic Studies, Storyboarding and Illustration, Composition, Texture Art, and Wall Art.

He is proficient in various artistic mediums such as watercolour, tempera, oil painting, charcoal, and pen drawing, making him a versatile and accomplished artist.

On the final day of the programme, President Droupadi Murmu interacted personally with the participating artists, discussing their creative journeys and learning about their individual artistic styles. During the interaction, Dr. Yadav presented the President with a miniature-style painting from his personal collection as a token of respect and appreciation.

The honour bestowed upon Dr. Yadav is a matter of pride for Udaipur and reflects his significant contribution to the promotion and preservation of Indian art and culture.
