Udaipur: With the sighting of the moon marking the beginning of the Islamic New Year, Hijri 1448, the first day of Muharram was observed on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. On this occasion, the traditional Parcham Kushai (flag hoisting) ceremony was held at the Maqbara Masjid Cemetery Sindhiyan, located at Surajpol.

The ceremony was conducted after 6:00 PM in the mosque premises by Syed Noor Mohammad Shah Bukhari of Barmer. Following the flag hoisting ritual, special prayers were offered for peace, harmony, and prosperity across the country and the state.

Members of the Maqbara Masjid Cemetery Sindhiyan Management Committee, including Shabbir Sindhi, Shadab Sindhi, Gufran Sindhi, Habib Khan Sindhi, Abdul Aziz Sindhi, and Yunus Bhai, along with other committee members, participated in the event.
