Employment Generation is the Greatest Strength in Building a Developed India: Rajya Sabha MP Garasiya

Udaipur: A benefit distribution and interaction programme under the Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) was organized on Friday at the UCCI Auditorium, Udaipur. The programme was attended by Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Chunnilal Garasiya as the Chief Guest, while Lok Sabha MP Mannalal Rawat and Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena were present as Special Guests.

During the event, participants also witnessed the live telecast of the national programme held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion, the Prime Minister transferred approximately ₹2,400 crore in incentive benefits directly into the accounts of beneficiaries through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I Prashant Kumar Sinha and Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II Raunak Jain welcomed the guests and participants.

Addressing the gathering, Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya said that the Prime Minister’s Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana is opening new avenues of opportunity for the youth. He emphasized that employment generation and skill development are vital for transforming India into a developed nation and highlighted the Central Government’s continuous efforts to connect young people with meaningful employment opportunities. He urged beneficiaries to make full use of the scheme and contribute towards building an Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

Lok Sabha MP Mannalal Rawat described the scheme as a significant initiative that promotes not only employment generation but also social security. He encouraged both young job seekers and employers to take maximum advantage of the programme.

Special Guest and Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena stated that the scheme serves as a strong bridge between industries and the youth. It helps institutions gain access to trained and qualified human resources while providing young people with dignified employment opportunities and economic empowerment. He added that ensuring the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last person in society is the true hallmark of good governance.

Providing details of the scheme, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Prashant Kumar Sinha informed that under the programme, a total benefit amount of ₹1.49 crore had been transferred to the accounts of 127 establishments and 1,141 employees across the Udaipur Division.

On the occasion, beneficiary employer Pankaj Joshi and employee beneficiary Priyanka Nair shared their experiences and described the scheme as an important initiative that promotes employment generation and provides economic support.

The programme witnessed the participation of representatives from various industries and institutions, employers, employees, and officials and staff members of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
