###New Chapter in Design Education to Unfold in Udaipur
INIFD-BRDS Academic Collaboration to be Inaugurated on June 25
Udaipur: The city of lakes is set to witness a significant milestone in design education as VCD College of Designing hosts the inauguration ceremony of its academic collaboration with INIFD and BRDS on June 25, 2026. The event will also feature a student felicitation and degree distribution ceremony, celebrating academic excellence and emerging creative talent.
The prestigious occasion will be graced by Gulab Chand Kataria, who will attend as the Chief Guest. The ceremony will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the VCD College campus in Bhuvana, Chitrakoot Nagar, Udaipur.
The event is expected to mark a new era in design education by bringing together industry expertise and academic excellence. Distinguished guests include Bhanwar Singh Rathore, Founder and Director of BRDS; Anita Kaushik, Founder and Director of INIFD Chandigarh; and S. Bhansali, Regional Director of INIFD Ahmedabad.
The program will begin with the arrival and welcome of the Governor, followed by a tour of a specially curated exhibition showcasing the creativity and innovation of students. After the national anthem and ceremonial lamp lighting, guests will be formally introduced to the audience.
VCD College Director Ankur Mehta will deliver the welcome address and present the vision behind the collaboration, highlighting how the partnership aims to provide students with enhanced learning opportunities, industry exposure, and access to nationally recognized design education programs.
A key highlight of the event will be the formal inauguration and ribbon-cutting ceremony, symbolizing the beginning of the academic association between VCD College, INIFD, and BRDS. Education experts believe that this collaboration will open new pathways for aspiring designers by combining academic learning with practical industry insights.
The ceremony will also recognize the achievements of 30 students who will be honored for their academic performance and creative accomplishments. Degrees will be awarded during the event, making it a memorable milestone for graduating students and their families.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Gulab Chand Kataria is expected to share insights on the importance of skill development, innovation, and creative education in shaping the future of young professionals and contributing to nation-building.
