Yoga is the Foundation of a Healthy and Balanced Life” – Dr. Srinivas

Udaipur: On the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Janmat Manch organized a yoga awareness and practice program at Ram Leela Park, Hiran Magri Sector 4.

 

Dr. Srinivas, the founding president of Janmat Manch, highlighted the importance of yoga, stating, “Yoga is not merely an event limited to a single day; rather, it is a comprehensive lifestyle for living a healthy, peaceful, and disciplined life—one that should be adopted permanently. Amidst today's rising stress, irregular routines, and mental challenges, yoga serves as the most effective medium for achieving physical, mental, and spiritual balance.” He urged all citizens to make yoga a part of their daily routine for at least 30 minutes.

 

During the program, yoga mentor Gitansh Kumar guided participants through various *asanas* (postures) and *pranayama* (breathing exercises), explaining the correct techniques and their benefits. He remarked, “Yoga is not just a means to physical health but a path to developing self-confidence, self-discipline, and positive thinking. When an individual practices yoga and *pranayama* daily, their body, mind, and consciousness remain balanced. Only a healthy individual can play a vital role in building a healthy family, a healthy society, and a strong nation.”

 

Shirish Nath Mathur, Secretary of Janmat Manch, described yoga as “a journey of the self, through the self, and to the self,” noting that it is the simplest and most effective way to lead a stress-free, energetic, and balanced life. He added that by adopting yoga amidst today's hectic lifestyle, individuals can enhance their work efficiency, concentration, and mental peace.

 

People from various walks of life—including Arvind Lakshkar, Santosh Arora, Gunjan Arora, Chinu, Monu, Joy, and Akshay—participated in the yoga session. All participants pledged to practice yoga regularly and spread awareness about it within their families and society, while also acknowledging the significance of yoga.
