International Yoga Day 2026 was celebrated successfully at Sangam University. Continuing its annual tradition, the university organized a yoga session with enthusiastic participation from students, members of the Sangam Group, and university staff.
The event commenced at 6:00 a.m. at the Box Cricket Ground, where participants gathered to practice yoga. On this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Karunesh Saxena highlighted the importance and necessity of yoga in daily life and encouraged everyone to actively participate in promoting a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice.
Registrar Dr. Alok Singh emphasized the concept of “Yoga for Good Health” and extended his best wishes for the well-being and healthy lives of all participants.
The successful organization of the program was made possible through the valuable support of Kuldeep Singh, Harish Sharma, Balveer Singh, and Kalu Singh, whose contributions were highly appreciated.
Dr. Antim Bala Prajapat from the Department of Management conducted a meditation session, while Sports In-charge Sanjay Sharma guided participants through various yoga asanas and pranayama techniques.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment among participants to incorporate yoga into their daily lives for physical fitness, mental well-being, and overall holistic development.
