International Yoga Day Celebrated Enthusiastically at Home Guards Training Centre

Udaipur: In compliance with the directives of the State Government and the Home Guards Department, the 12th International Day of Yoga was observed with dignity and enthusiasm on Sunday at the Home Guards Training Centre office premises. Officers, employees, Home Guard volunteers, and women volunteers actively participated in the event, performing yoga collectively and pledging to make regular yoga practice a part of their daily lives.

The program began with a group yoga session in which participants practiced various yoga postures, pranayama techniques, and meditation exercises as per the prescribed yoga protocol. During the session, participants were also educated about the physical, mental, and spiritual benefits of yoga.

On the occasion, Commandant Pranay Jasoriya stated that yoga is an integral part of India’s ancient culture and heritage, which has now gained worldwide acceptance. He emphasized that regular yoga practice helps maintain good physical health, reduces stress and anxiety, and enhances self-confidence and work efficiency. He further noted that yoga plays a significant role in improving heart health, strengthening immunity, and fostering positive energy in life.

Commandant Jasoriya added that in today’s fast-changing lifestyle and increasingly stressful environment, yoga has emerged as an effective solution. He said that if individuals dedicate even a small portion of their day to yoga, they can avoid many physical and mental health issues. He urged all officers and employees to practice yoga regularly and encourage their families and communities to do the same.

Platoon Commander Mangalaram, who led the yoga session, also highlighted the importance of yoga, stating that it is essential for maintaining both a healthy body and a healthy mind. He explained that yoga not only strengthens the body but also builds mental resilience. Regular practice, he said, improves efficiency, promotes discipline, and helps maintain balance in life.

During the program, participants pledged to incorporate yoga into their daily routines. The event was marked by an atmosphere of discipline, enthusiasm, and positive energy throughout.

The International Yoga Day celebration organized by the Home Guards Training Centre proved to be a significant initiative in promoting awareness about yoga and encouraging the development of a healthier, stronger, and more vibrant society.
