Udaipur: The Navlakha Mahal Cultural Centre has emerged as a hub for reviving India’s glorious cultural traditions, said Arun Chaturvedi, Chairman of the Rajasthan State Finance Commission.
He was speaking during his visit to the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Centre in Udaipur. He stated that the newly developed project under the centre, the MDH Rashtramandir, is a remarkable initiative where India’s ancient and glorious traditions have been brought to life in a vivid and experiential form.
Chaturvedi expressed his gratitude to Rajiv Gulati, Chairman of MDH Group and son of philanthropist Mahashay Dharampal Ji, for developing the project. He said that through this initiative, visitors from India and abroad are able to explore the lives of unsung revolutionaries who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and glory but whose contributions were not adequately recorded in history. He urged people to visit the centre and experience its various exhibits.
On the occasion, Pramod Samar, Vice President of the Rajasthan State BJP unit, said that he has been associated with Navlakha Mahal since it was handed over to the Arya Samaj. He recalled that at the time of its transfer, the structure was in a severely dilapidated condition. However, through the efforts of donors, Ashok Arya, and his team, the centre has now gained international recognition.
He added that the various projects within the centre are attracting not only local visitors but also people from across the world, promoting values of education, culture, and patriotism. He assured full support for the continued development of the centre and pledged cooperation in removing any obstacles in its progress.
Gajpal Singh Rathore, District President of BJP Udaipur City, stated that Navlakha Mahal is a place that brings peace to the mind. He highlighted key attractions such as Aryavart Chitradiirgha, Rashtraonnayak Vithika, Suresh Chandra Deendayal Gupta Mini Theatre, Shodash Sanskar Vithika, a grand Yagyashala, library, and Rashtramandir, calling them unique and unparalleled in the world. He emphasized that youth and children should especially visit the centre to learn from its educational and cultural exhibits.
Paras Singhvi, BJP City District General Secretary and former Deputy Mayor of Udaipur Municipal Corporation, said that donations made to the centre are being utilized in a meaningful and transparent manner. He noted that the Shodash Sanskar gallery helped visitors understand the importance of life’s sixteen sacraments, while exhibits on sages and freedom fighters provide valuable historical and cultural knowledge.
The dignitaries were welcomed by Shri Ashok Arya, President of Shrimad Dayanand Satyarth Prakash Nyas, with traditional turbans, shawls, and tilak. Several office bearers and staff members, including Bhagwan Lal Garg, Navneet Arya, Divyesh Suthar, Vinod Kumar Rathore, Durga Gormaat, and guides Siddham, Gaurav, Rekha, Devidayal, Nirma, and Laxman, were present on the occasion.
In a separate visit, Rajendra Kumar Naik, Chairman of the Rajasthan Scheduled Caste Finance and Development Commission, also visited the Navlakha Mahal Cultural Centre during his Udaipur tour. He appreciated the exhibits at the centre, including MDH Rashtramandir, Rashtraonnayak Vithika, Suresh Chandra Deendayal Gupta Multimedia Centre, Sanskar Vithika, Aryavart Chitradiirgha, and Mata Lilawanti Hall, and described them as highly educational and inspiring.
