Dr. K. K. Yadav Receives ‘Best Paper Award’ in Thailand
Udaipur: Dr. K. K. Yadav, Professor and Head of the Department of Soil Science at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, a constituent college of Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, has been honoured with the Best Paper Award at an international conference held in Phuket, Thailand, from June 15 to 20, 2026.
The conference, themed “Innovative and Current Advances in Agriculture and Allied Sciences 2026”, brought together researchers and academicians from across the world. Dr. Yadav received the award in the Soil and Water Management session for his oral presentation on “Effect of Irrigation and Eco-Friendly Polymer on Okra Yield.”
In his research, Dr. Yadav found that the use of eco-friendly polymers improved water-use efficiency and increased okra yield without adversely affecting the physicochemical properties of the soil. The findings indicate that in water-scarce arid and semi-arid regions, the technology can help extend irrigation intervals for summer okra cultivation while maintaining productivity.
In addition to the Best Paper Award, Dr. Yadav was also conferred the “Excellence in Teaching Award” in recognition of his academic contributions to the field of Soil Science.
The achievement has brought pride to MPUAT and highlights the growing international recognition of agricultural research being conducted at the university.
