Udaipur, In a significant outreach aimed at highlighting the challenges faced by students and job aspirants across the country, the Udaipur Rural and City District Congress Committees organized a special event under the nationwide “Voice of Students” (Chhatron Ki Goonj) campaign at Mewar B.Sc. Nursing College, Titardi, on Wednesday.
The program featured a screening of the original presentation delivered by Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi during the recent students’ rally in Kota. Through a projector display, students were introduced to the campaign’s central message focusing on educational reforms, transparent examinations, and employment opportunities for the youth.
Addressing the gathering, Udaipur Rural Congress President Raghubir Singh Meena said that India’s youth are confronting an unprecedented education and employment crisis. He alleged that recurring examination paper leaks, cancellation of competitive tests, prolonged recruitment processes, and mounting unemployment have placed millions of students under immense pressure and uncertainty.
“Students today face two examinations—one in the examination hall and another in life itself. While leaked papers compromise the first, endless delays and uncertainty test their patience, determination, and resilience,” Meena remarked. He further claimed that families are bearing a heavy financial burden in preparing students for competitive examinations, while governments remain largely unresponsive to their concerns.
Speaking on the occasion, District Congress Co-Incharge Dimple Kunwar Rathore expressed concern over what she described as institutional failures in the education system. She stated that repeated controversies surrounding competitive examinations have created an atmosphere of anxiety and insecurity among students.
“Years of hard work often go in vain when examinations are cancelled or recruitment processes are delayed. Such incidents not only affect careers but also deeply impact the mental well-being of young aspirants,” she said. Rathore emphasized that the Congress party’s awareness campaign seeks to amplify student voices and draw attention to issues affecting the nation’s youth.
Udaipur City Congress President Fateh Singh Rathore described the campaign as more than a political initiative, calling it “a movement for the future of India’s youth.” He said recurring paper leaks, examination mismanagement, rising educational costs, privatization, and recruitment irregularities are steadily eroding students’ confidence in the system.
“The future of the nation is shaped by the future of its youth. If students are denied fair opportunities, transparent examinations, and quality education, the country’s progress will inevitably suffer,” he said. He added that the campaign aims to advocate for a more accountable and student-centric education framework that guarantees equal opportunities for all.
The event also served as a platform for interaction between students and Congress leaders, where concerns related to education, career opportunities, and recruitment processes were discussed. Participants emphasized the need for reforms that ensure transparency, efficiency, and fairness in examinations and public recruitment systems.
A large number of Congress leaders, office-bearers, students, and party workers attended the program, including PCC Vice President Hira Lal Darangi, Lok Sabha candidate Tarachand Meena, former MLA Preeti Gajendra Singh Shaktawat, PCC General Secretary Pankaj Sharma, PCC Secretary Bhim Singh Chundawat, and several district and block-level representatives.
The “Voice of Students” campaign is being conducted across the country to spotlight the concerns of students and job seekers and to encourage wider public dialogue on education and employment-related challenges facing India’s youth.
