GMCH : Achieves Milestone of 150 Successful Endoscopic Ultrasound Procedures

Udaipur,  Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital has achieved a significant milestone in advanced gastroenterology by successfully completing 150 Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) procedures, reinforcing its commitment to providing cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic care in the region.

To commemorate the achievement, the hospital honoured the Gastroenterology Department's medical, nursing, and technical teams for their dedication, expertise, and collaborative efforts in delivering high-quality patient care.

Executive Director Ankit Agrawal congratulated the entire team, stating that the accomplishment reflects the institution's commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and teamwork. He appreciated the doctors, nurses, and technical staff for their relentless efforts and expressed confidence that the department would continue to set new benchmarks in advanced healthcare.

CEO Rishi Kapoor also congratulated the team and announced that the hospital will soon introduce Cholangioscopy-guided Electrohydraulic Lithotripsy (EHL) and Enteroscopy, further strengthening its gastroenterology services. These advanced procedures will enable patients with complex gastrointestinal conditions to receive world-class treatment in Udaipur, reducing the need to travel to metropolitan cities.

Head of the Department of Gastroenterology, Dr. Pankaj Gupta, highlighted that Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) is one of the most advanced diagnostic technologies for evaluating diseases of the digestive tract, pancreas, bile ducts, and surrounding organs. The technology enables highly accurate diagnosis of complex gastrointestinal disorders at an early stage.

Advanced Endoscopist Dr. Kartikeya Mathur explained that EUS has significantly improved the diagnosis of conditions such as cancers and tuberculosis located deep within the body, which are often difficult to detect using conventional investigations. He added that advanced minimally invasive procedures such as Cystogastrostomy and Cystoduodenostomy, which previously required open surgery, are now being performed successfully through endoscopy without external incisions. The department is also preparing to introduce EUS-guided Biliary Drainage, further expanding its advanced therapeutic capabilities.

Hospital authorities noted that the availability of sophisticated procedures like Endoscopic Ultrasound has made advanced gastroenterology care more accessible to patients across Rajasthan. With a comprehensive range of super-specialty services and state-of-the-art medical technology, Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital continues to provide world-class treatment through a team of experienced specialists.

The Gastroenterology Department expressed gratitude to patients for their trust and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering safe, innovative, and high-quality healthcare through the latest medical technologies.
