Work Stress Management and Effective Tax Planning Are the True Measures of Professional Success: District Collector Gaurav Agarwal
Udaipur: Marking the 76th Foundation Day of the Udaipur Tax Bar Association, a Platinum Jubilee Health and Tax Seminar was organized, bringing together experts to discuss key topics such as healthcare, work stress management, and tax planning. The event also featured a special felicitation ceremony honoring senior tax professionals who have completed 50 and 25 years of membership with the association.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest, Udaipur District Collector Gaurav Agarwal emphasized that in today's highly competitive environment, one of the biggest challenges professionals face is maintaining their physical and mental well-being while managing demanding workloads. He remarked, "A healthy body is the foundation of an active and efficient mind. Along with effective work stress management, proper tax planning is the true hallmark of a successful professional."
The program commenced with a welcome address by CA Deepak Aran, President of the Udaipur Tax Bar Association, who highlighted the association's distinguished 75-year legacy and outlined its future initiatives. On the occasion, senior members Roshanlal Kunawat, Tejkaran Bohra, and Bhimsen Sharma were honored for completing 50 years of membership, while Kishore Kumar Pahuja was felicitated for completing 25 years. District Collector Gaurav Agarwal presented the honorees with mementoes, traditional turbans, and ceremonial shawls in recognition of their long-standing contribution.
Collector Agarwal praised the dedication and commitment of the senior members, stating that their experience and service continue to inspire young tax professionals and will serve as a guiding force for future generations.
Guest of Honour Vinod Jain of the SRG Group acknowledged the significant role tax professionals play in the growth and success of businesses, describing their contribution as indispensable to economic development.
The seminar's technical sessions began with an insightful lecture by renowned cardiologist Dr. Ramesh Patel on "Heart Care and Work Stress Management." He explained that prolonged sitting, physical inactivity, and excessive mental stress have become leading causes of heart disease and heart attacks. He encouraged professionals to adopt regular exercise, take short breaks during work, and maintain a healthy, positive lifestyle.
Association Secretary Hatim Kankroliwala informed participants that the first technical session featured CA Nikhil Mehta, who provided a detailed overview of the latest income tax provisions and emerging legal issues. To make the session more engaging, he also conducted a tax quiz, which received enthusiastic participation from attendees.
The event was compered by CA Ankit Jain, Joint Secretary and Treasurer of the association. Among those present were former President CA V.C. Vyas, CA Suresh Ajmera, CA Arvind Shah, CA Devendra Punjawat, CA C.S. Nenawati, CA H.S. Nenawati, CA Amit Tiwari, CA Sudhir Mehta, along with a large number of tax professionals.
The seminar successfully combined health awareness with professional tax expertise, delivering a meaningful message on achieving a balanced, healthy, and successful professional life.
