Commitment to Service, Values, and Social Transformation: Rotary District 3056 Sets ₹15 Crore Service Projects Target for 2026–27

Udaipur: With the commencement of the Rotary year 2026–27, newly appointed Rotary District 3056 Governor Arun Bagadia unveiled his vision centered on service, values, and social transformation. He said that Rotary's guiding principle, "Service Above Self," is not merely a motto but a commitment to bringing meaningful and lasting change to the lives of those who need it most.

Bagadia highlighted that Rotary International is the world's largest volunteer service organization, carrying out impactful initiatives in the fields of education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and community development. Referring to Rotary's historic End Polio Now campaign, he described it as a global example of humanitarian service and collective commitment.

For the Rotary year 2026–27, Rotary District 3056 has set an ambitious target of implementing service projects worth approximately ₹15 crore. Key focus areas will include safe drinking water, water conservation, tree plantation, maternal and child healthcare, eye care, girls' education, women's empowerment, skill development, blood donation, organ donation awareness, and rural development.

Bagadia stated that strengthening The Rotary Foundation, expanding membership, and establishing new Rotary, Rotaract, and Interact Clubs will be among the district's top priorities. Special initiatives will also be launched to encourage greater youth participation in leadership and community service.

As part of the district's environmental commitment, he appealed to nearly 4,000 Rotarians across the district to plant at least 10 saplings each on July 1 and take responsibility for their care. He also urged Rotary Club Presidents to set a target of planting 1,000 trees through their respective clubs. The district aims to nurture and dedicate more than 100,000 trees to society by June 30, 2027.

Concluding his address, Bagadia expressed gratitude to all Rotarians, office bearers, donors, and partner organizations for their continued support. He called upon every member to work together in making Rotary Year 2026–27 a landmark year of service, innovation, and public welfare, creating a lasting positive impact on communities across the district.
