Udaipur: Stepping away from their demanding schedules and life-saving responsibilities, doctors at Geetanjali Medical College & Hospital came together for an evening dedicated to celebration, creativity, and well-being. A special cultural event, held on July 1 at the Narmada Devi Auditorium, offered healthcare professionals a rare opportunity to unwind, reconnect, and celebrate the human side of medicine.

Inspired by this year's theme, "Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers?", the event highlighted an important message—that while doctors devote themselves to caring for others every day, their own mental, emotional, and social well-being deserves equal attention.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Vice Chancellor Rakesh Vyas, Dean Dr. Sangeeta Gupta, Registrar Dr. Arvind Yadav, Additional Principal Dr. Manjinder Kaur, and Medical Superintendent Dr. Harpreet Singh. The occasion was also graced by senior faculty members, including Dr. D.C. Kumawat, Dr. S.K. Lohadia, and Dr. G.L. Dadh, along with numerous doctors and faculty members.
What made the celebration truly unique was that it was created by doctors, for doctors, with enthusiastic participation from faculty members, resident doctors, and medical students. The stage brought together senior faculty, junior faculty, and residents, reflecting the institution's strong academic culture and close-knit community spirit.
The evening featured an engaging blend of music, dance, drama, and live performances, each portraying the compassion, resilience, and dedication that define the medical profession. Through artistic expression, participants showcased that medicine is far more than a profession—it is a lifelong commitment built on empathy, patience, responsibility, and humanity.
Beyond entertainment, the event served as a reminder that those who tirelessly care for patients also need moments of joy, appreciation, and emotional rejuvenation. It celebrated the smiles behind the white coats and reinforced the importance of supporting the caregivers who stand at the forefront of healthcare.
More than 500 participants attended the programme, including nearly 300 medical students and over 200 senior, junior, and consultant doctors. The celebration strengthened bonds among colleagues, fostered teamwork, and filled the auditorium with positivity, laughter, and renewed inspiration—proving that even the healers deserve time to heal, smile, and celebrate together.
