Udaipur: In a heartfelt celebration of Doctors' Day and the invaluable contribution of Chartered Accountants, Rotary Club Udaipur organized a prestigious felicitation ceremony at Rotary Bajaj Bhawan, recognizing 21 eminent doctors and 13 distinguished Chartered Accountants for their exceptional service to society and the nation.
The event was graced by renowned cardiologist Dr. S.K. Kaushik as the Chief Guest. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that doctors and Chartered Accountants are two indispensable pillars of a progressive nation. While doctors safeguard lives and public health, Chartered Accountants strengthen the country's financial framework through integrity and expertise.
Reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Kaushik praised the medical fraternity for its unwavering commitment, courage, and selfless service during one of humanity's most challenging times.
Rotary Club Udaipur's newly installed President Shrichand Khaturiya highlighted that both professions symbolize dedication, responsibility, and service. "Doctors protected lives during the pandemic, while Chartered Accountants played a crucial role in maintaining economic stability. Their contributions continue to inspire society," he said.
During the ceremony, 21 leading medical professionals were honored with traditional shawls and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding contribution to healthcare. Similarly, 13 Chartered Accountants were felicitated for their excellence in strengthening financial governance and supporting economic growth.
Former District Governor Nirmal Singhvi noted that, on average, one doctor in India shoulders the healthcare responsibility of nearly 830 people, underscoring the immense significance of the medical profession.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Assistant District Governor Gajendra Jodhawat, P.S. Talesara, Secretary Dushyant Somani, along with Rotarians, healthcare professionals, Chartered Accountants, and distinguished citizens.
