Workshop on "Communication and Soft Skills" Organized at Mewar Nursing College, Udaipur
Udaipur: Mewar Nursing College, Udaipur, organized an insightful workshop on "Communication and Soft Skills" on Thursday. The session was conducted by Mahima Paliwal, Counselling Psychologist at Snowflakes Counseling Pvt. Ltd., with the objective of enhancing students' communication abilities and self-confidence—qualities that are essential for successful healthcare professionals.
During the workshop, key topics such as effective communication, active listening, confidence building, the habit of self-comparison, and overcoming the fear of public speaking were discussed from a psychological perspective. Students learned that effective communication is not limited to speaking well; it also involves understanding others, demonstrating empathy, and building trust.
To make the session engaging and interactive, various activities, group discussions, and team-based exercises were conducted. Students participated enthusiastically and gained practical insights into communicating confidently, listening attentively, and developing positive interpersonal relationships.
At the conclusion of the workshop, participants were provided with simple and practical strategies to strengthen their communication skills for both their personal and professional lives. Dr. Sandeep Garg, Principal of Mewar Nursing College, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of organizing more workshops focused on personality development and mental health awareness in the future.
