District Collector Inspects Devas Phase-III Dam and Rehabilitation Site

Udaipur: District Collector Gaurav Agrawal on Thursday inspected the proposed Devas Phase-III Dam site and the rehabilitation site at Mokhi to review the progress of the Devas Dam and Tunnel Project and the resettlement of project-affected families.

The Rajasthan Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, is expediting both the construction of the Devas Phase-III and Phase-IV projects and the rehabilitation of displaced families. The resettlement process is being carried out in accordance with the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and the approved Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) Plan. Eligible families from the affected villages of Nal and Nathiyathal will be relocated to Mokhi, where essential civic infrastructure will be developed.

During the inspection, the Collector reviewed land availability, road connectivity, drinking water, electricity, drainage, sanitation, and community facilities. He directed officials to complete all development works on priority and ensure timely provision of residential plots, public utilities, education and healthcare facilities, and all approved benefits to eligible families. He also emphasized active community participation throughout the rehabilitation process.

Reviewing the dam construction, Agrawal instructed officials to strictly adhere to safety and quality standards, ensure regular testing of construction materials, provide adequate facilities for workers, and complete the project within the stipulated timeline.
