Rotary Club Udaipur Vasudha Celebrates Charter Day with Installation Ceremony,
Major Donor Honour and Service Initiatives
Udaipur: Rotary Club Udaipur Vasudha celebrated its 9th Charter Day and the Installation Ceremony for the 2026–27 Rotary year with great enthusiasm and dignity at Hotel Golden Tulip. The event, which commenced with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, featured the installation of the new executive team, recognition of outstanding service, cultural performances, and community service activities.
The ceremony was graced by Past District Governor (PDG) Nirmal Singhvi, District Public Image Chairman (District 3056), and PDG Nirmal Kunawat, District Rotary Foundation Chair (DRFC) 2025–28, as the chief guests. Distinguished guests included Rotarian Ritu Vaishnav, Assistant Governor Rotarian Deepak Goyal, Club Advisor Rotarian Madhu Sareen, and Dr. Rotarian Nishtha.
A major highlight of the evening was the installation and collar exchange ceremony for the new office bearers. Rotarian Deepti Lodha assumed office as President, while Rotarian Ekta Solanki took the oath as Club Secretary for the Rotary year 2026–27.
On the occasion of the club's ninth Charter Day, Charter President Shakuntala Porwal reflected on the club’s remarkable journey and achievements over the past nine years, extending her best wishes to all members for continued success in service.
Newly installed President Deepti Lodha announced that Rotarian Sharad Rathore had been conferred the prestigious Major Donor Recognition in appreciation of his exceptional commitment to Rotary and outstanding humanitarian contributions.
As part of the club’s service initiatives, Dr. Rotarian Preeti Singh donated hygiene and healthcare essentials to children of Prayas Sansthan, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to community welfare and child well-being.
The cultural segment added vibrancy to the celebration, with captivating performances by Rotarians Asha and Anju, while Rotarian Sunita enthralled the audience with her melodious songs. Meenakshi Barjatya was specially honoured for her excellent conduct of the event.
The function witnessed the presence of Dr. Rajni Sharma, Sangeeta Tated, Kiran Talesara, Annapurna Gaur, Sharad Rathore, Pramila Surana, Pankaj Sharma, Ashalata Singhvi, Anju Singhvi, Shakuntala Porwal, Deepti Lodha, Ekta Solanki, Dr. Preeti Singh, Sushma Arora, along with presidents and secretaries of various Rotary Clubs, numerous Rotarians, and distinguished citizens.
In her vote of thanks, Club Secretary Ekta Solanki expressed gratitude to the guests, members, and supporters. She reaffirmed the club’s commitment to Rotary’s guiding principle, “Service Above Self,” and pledged that the members would continue to undertake meaningful community service projects with greater dedication and sincerity.
