DPS Udaipur Organises Inter-School Fashion Illustration Competition
Udaipur: Delhi Public School (DPS), Udaipur, organised an Inter-School Fashion Illustration Competition on July 11, 2026, to provide students with a platform to showcase their creativity, imagination, and artistic skills while introducing them to the growing opportunities in the field of fashion design.
According to Dr. Dinkar Bharti, Faculty of Fashion Studies, the competition featured 100 participants divided into two categories. Group A included students from Classes 6 to 8, who designed illustrations based on the theme "Casual Outfit." Group B, comprising students from Classes 9 to 11, presented creative concepts on "Party Wear" and "Red Carpet Outfit." Participants impressed the judges with their innovative ideas and artistic expression.
The event also featured an exhibition of students' fashion sketches, project files, and design posters. Dr. Bharti delivered a presentation highlighting the wide range of career opportunities available in the fashion industry, encouraging students to explore creative professions.
Pro Vice Chairman Govind Agrawal welcomed the guests and judges, including Yashwant from VCD College of Design and fashion designer Shonai Dhabhai, stating that such competitions inspire young minds and prepare them for emerging career opportunities. Principal Sanjay Narwariya emphasised the importance of skill-based education and encouraged students to pursue creative fields with confidence. Vice Principal Rajesh Dhabhai noted that design plays a vital role in almost every profession, making it a field with limitless possibilities.
In Group A, Sulaksh Jain of St. Anthony's School secured first place, followed by Purvangana Singh Chundawat of DPS and Riddhi Ranjan of Maharana Mewar Public School. In Group B, Shubham Swarnkar of St. Anthony's School won first prize, while Aradhya Singh of Maharana Mewar Public School and Isha Pardeshi of DPS secured second and third positions, respectively.
