Legal Awareness Workshop Organised on International Justice Day
Sri Ganganagar: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Sri Ganganagar, organised a legal awareness workshop at Tantia University on the occasion of International Justice Day in association with the Faculty of Law. The programme was addressed by Ravi Prakash Suthar, Secretary, DLSA and Additional District & Sessions Judge.
Justice Suthar highlighted the importance of ensuring access to justice for all and explained the role of NALSA, Rajasthan State Legal Services Authority, and DLSA in providing legal support. Students were informed about free legal aid, victim compensation schemes, National Lok Adalat, special Lok Adalats, and legal services initiatives.
He also created awareness about the harmful effects of drug addiction. Retired Additional SP Naresh Sharma discussed crime prevention, cyber security, and the importance of public awareness in combating cyber fraud.
Dr. Saurabh Garg, Dean of the Faculty of Law, explained the Legal Services Clinic and proposed a vote of thanks. Faculty members, legal aid officials, and students attended the workshop. The session was conducted by Assistant Professor Anamika Khurana.
