Vidyabhawan Reaffirms Commitment to Value-Based Education
Udaipur: Vidyabhawan celebrated its 95th Foundation Day on Tuesday by reaffirming its commitment to nurturing sensitive, skilled, responsible and socially conscious citizens, as it also marked the centenary year of the institution's founding vision, established in 1926.
Thousands of students, teachers, alumni and citizens participated in a large awareness rally flagged off by District Collector Gaurav Agrawal. The rally carried messages on environmental conservation, lake protection, social harmony, women's dignity, inclusive education, skill development and responsible citizenship, while celebrating Udaipur's recognition as a Ramsar Wetland City.
Addressing the main function at the Open Air Theatre, Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd. Managing Director P. Ramesh said Vidyabhawan's 95-year journey reflects its unwavering commitment to values, citizenship and social development. He urged students to avoid mobile addiction and obesity, stressing the importance of discipline, healthy lifestyles and a safe, respectful learning environment.
Vidyabhawan Society President Dr. Jitendra Kumar Tayalia said the institution was preparing for its centenary celebrations and would continue embracing innovation and modern education while preserving its founding ideals. Chief Executive Rajendra Bhatt said Vidyabhawan remains committed to holistic education for learners from all sections of society.
A newly established Vidyabhawan Plant Nursery was inaugurated by former IFS officer Inder Pal Singh Matharu and energy expert Bhagwat Babel. Cultural performances depicting the institution's legacy, women's empowerment, Rajasthan's folk traditions and national values concluded the celebrations.
