AHMEDABAD — Gujarati feature film Layak Nalayak, produced by Rajesh R. Patel under the banner of Om Shivam Pictures Limited (UK), is set for a nationwide theatrical release on July 24, the filmmakers announced. The film will be distributed by Roopam Entertainment Private Limited.
One of the film's key highlights is that nearly 95% of its shooting was completed at various locations in London, offering audiences an international visual experience within Gujarati cinema.
According to the producers, Layak Nalayak is a family-oriented emotional drama that explores relationships, personal struggles and life values through an entertaining narrative. The film has been produced using modern filmmaking techniques and international production standards.
Jignesh Patel serves as co-producer. The film is written and directed by Tanmay Gopal Sengupta, with the story by Hetal Patel and screenplay by Avik Majumdar. Cinematography is by Thamban K. Raman, editing by Gurjent Singh, music by Biplab Dutta, and lyrics by Jayesh Barot and Avinash Khatri.
The production team also includes production designer Parth Majumdar, choreographer Jagannath Das, production controller Salim Mansuri, and media and publicity head Puneet R. Khare.
The film features a cast drawn from the Gujarati and Hindi film industries, including Hiten Kumar, Hitu Kanodia, Ojas Rawal, Ashmit Patel, Kiran Acharya, Katha Patel, Smita Gondkar, Aarti Joshi, Shekhar Shukla, Sunil Vishrani, Jitendra Thakkar, Jitu Pandya, Griva Kansara, Mayanka Patel, Manin Trivedi, Mansukhlal Tank, Lalit Thakkar, Raj Ganatra, Yagnesh Sharma, Geeta Solanki, Purva Shah and Shawar Ali.
The film's teaser, trailer, poster and soundtrack were unveiled at a launch event held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ahmedabad, attended by the cast, producers and members of the film industry.
The filmmakers said the teaser and trailer have received a positive response from audiences and expressed confidence that Layak Nalayak will establish a distinct identity in Gujarati cinema following its release.
