####SPSU Welcomes Freshers with Sangyan 2026 Orientation
Udaipur, Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU), Udaipur, welcomed its newly admitted Batch of 2026 through Sangyan 2026, a four-day orientation programme held from July 21 to 24, introducing students to the university's academic environment, industry-oriented learning ecosystem and campus culture.
Addressing the inaugural session, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, FRSA, President and Vice-Chancellor of SPSU, welcomed the students to the university and reaffirmed SPSU's commitment to academic excellence, innovation and strong industry collaboration. He encouraged students to build their future on the four pillars of Character, Competence, Compassion and Courage, while making the best use of the university's digital ecosystem, sports facilities and co-curricular opportunities for holistic development.
Dr. Sinha also highlighted the opportunities and challenges presented by the era of artificial intelligence, urging students to approach technology with creativity, ethics and responsibility.
Senior university officials, including Prof. (Dr.) Prasun Chakrabarti, Pro-President; Prof. (Dr.) Udayprakash R. Singh, Registrar; Prof. (Dr.) Amit Kumar Goel, Dean, School of Engineering & Sciences; Prof. (Dr.) Samrat Ray, Dean, School of Management & Liberal Studies; and Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Dean, School of Law, interacted with the freshers and encouraged them to embrace interdisciplinary learning, innovation and academic excellence.
The orientation programme featured department-specific sessions, Campus-to-Corporate modules, industry interaction sessions, hands-on workshops, panel discussions, lectures by international experts and interactive ice-breaking activities.
Industry professionals from L&T EduTech, Xebia, Vodafone and other organisations shared insights on emerging technologies, workplace expectations, career readiness and evolving industry trends. Students also attended a motivational session by a renowned radio jockey and value-based sessions conducted by ISKCON Udaipur, focusing on discipline, well-being and holistic development.
Team-building exercises and interactive activities were also organised to strengthen communication, leadership, collaboration and confidence among the incoming students.
The university said Sangyan 2026 provided students with an introduction to SPSU's culture of innovation, research, experiential learning, global exposure and industry engagement, laying the foundation for their academic, personal and professional journey.
