RAJYA SAINIK BOARD, RAJASTHAN TO HONOUR VEER NARIS & VEER MATAS ON KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

Jaipur:  As part of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorations, the Rajya Sainik Board, Rajasthan, will organise a solemn felicitation ceremony to honour the Veer Naris and Veer Matas of Rajasthan, whose loved ones made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil War of 1999 in the service of the Nation. The event will be held at 1500 hours on 25 July 2026 at Birla Auditorium, Jaipur.

          Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The ceremony will be attended by senior military officers, veterans, Veer Naris, Veer Matas, civil dignitaries, ex-servicemen and members of the public, who will come together to pay tribute to the gallant heroes of Operation Vijay and express the Nation's enduring gratitude to their families.

          The felicitation ceremony aims to recognise the extraordinary courage, resilience and sacrifice of the Veer Naris and Veer Matas, whose unwavering strength continues to inspire generations and exemplifies the spirit of service to the Nation. It also reaffirms the collective commitment to preserve the legacy of the Bravehearts who safeguarded India's sovereignty during the Kargil conflict.

          The programme will feature a ceremonial felicitation of the Veer Naris and Veer Matas, followed by stirring performances by the Indian Army Brass Band and Pipe Band. A specially curated patriotic skit depicting the valour, determination and sacrifice of the heroes of the Kargil War will also be presented by Army Public School children, highlighting the enduring legacy of Operation Vijay and inspiring the younger generation with the values of patriotism and selfless service.

          The event is being organised as a tribute to the indomitable courage of the Kargil heroes and their families and reflects the shared resolve of the Indian Army and the people of Rajasthan to honour their supreme sacrifice. The commemorative ceremony will reaffirm the enduring ideals of courage, duty, sacrifice and national unity that continue to guide the Nation.
