Chief Secretary Reviews Implementation of Budget Announcements

Jaipur: Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas chaired a departmental review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday to assess the implementation of the State Budget announcements. During the meeting, he conducted a comprehensive review of the progress made by various departments and directed officials to ensure the timely and effective execution of all budget announcements.

The Chief Secretary instructed departments to expedite the implementation of pending budget announcements from the financial years 2024–25 and 2025–26. He also emphasized the need to promptly resolve all bottlenecks affecting the implementation of the 2026–27 Budget announcements and ensure that projects are completed within the stipulated timelines.

He stressed that all departments should regularly monitor the progress of budget announcements and work in close coordination to accelerate development works and ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the public without delay.

Expedite Land Allocation for Pending Projects

The Chief Secretary directed all concerned departments and district authorities to take swift action in cases where budget announcements are pending due to the non-allocation of land. He instructed officials to strengthen coordination among revenue authorities, local bodies, and other concerned agencies to resolve land-related issues at the earliest. He further emphasized that the availability of land required for projects announced in the 2026–27 Budget should be accorded the highest priority.

Issue Work Orders Within the Next Three Months

Shri Srinivas directed all departments to issue work orders for all budget-announced projects within the next three months. He also instructed officials to ensure that the maximum possible number of development projects are inaugurated before the enforcement of the Model Code of Conduct for the upcoming local body elections, enabling citizens to benefit from the schemes in a timely manner.

Prioritise Completion of Projects Costing Over ₹10 Crore

The Chief Secretary directed all departments to accord the highest priority to projects with an estimated cost exceeding ₹10 crore and make every effort to complete them within the prescribed timelines. He also instructed officials to regularly monitor the progress of these projects, strengthen inter-departmental coordination, and ensure the early resolution of pending issues.

Upload Progress on the CMIS Portal

He instructed departmental officials to regularly update the latest progress of budget announcements on the CMIS portal to facilitate effective monitoring and timely review of project implementation.

During the review meeting, the Chief Secretary expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved in the implementation of budget announcements compared to the previous review meeting and appreciated the efforts of the departments. He urged all departments to maintain the current pace of implementation, complete all pending works within the stipulated timelines, and ensure the effective execution of the State Budget announcements.
