Udaipur: Devotees gathered at Shri Vasupujya Mandir, Surajpol Dadabari, on Saturday to commemorate the death anniversary (Punyatithi) of Dada Gurudev Shri Jindatt Surishwarji Maharaj with devotional prayers, special worship and spiritual discourses during the ongoing Chaturmas programme.
The event was held under the guidance of Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shriji and Thana-6. The programme commenced with a Mangal Geet presented by Sadhvi Pragyanjana Shriji, Sadhvi Namanruchi Shriji, Sadhvi Yogruchi Shriji and Sadhvi Tanmayruchi Shriji, followed by devotional performances by an orchestra and members of the women's wing, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
In her discourse, Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shriji said that true spiritual awakening (Samyaktva) is attained through the guidance of a Guru. She noted that miracles are not created by individuals but manifest through faith, spiritual practice and accumulated virtues. Stressing that worldly achievements are temporary, she said self-realisation and right faith remain the ultimate goals of human life.
Recalling the life of Dada Gurudev Jindatt Surishwarji Maharaj, she narrated that even at his birth, it was foretold that he would become a great spiritual leader dedicated to spreading the teachings of Lord Mahavira. She said the company and guidance of an enlightened Guru are rare blessings that transform one's life.
During the ceremony, Sushila and Gajendra Bhansali had the privilege of offering the ceremonial Kamli to Sadhvi Dr. Vidyutprabha Shriji, while Trust President Raj Lodha performed the Aarti of Dada Gurudev. A special Angi ritual and worship were also conducted.
Addressing the gathering, Raj Lodha said Dada Gurudev elevated the Jain order through his penance, compassion and selfless service. Gajendra Bhansali described him as a spiritual inspiration for millions, while Subhash Mahatma said his life continues to inspire people with the values of humility, sacrifice and service to humanity.
A large number of devotees participated in the commemorative programme, offering prayers and floral tributes to Dada Gurudev. The event concluded with a special Puja performed in memory of Dada Gurudev Jindatt Surishwarji Maharaj. Trust Secretary Dalpat Doshi said the commemorative worship was conducted as part of the observance of the revered saint's Punyatithi.
