Achieve 100% Revenue Target, Excise Commissioner Tells Officers
Udaipur: Excise Commissioner Namit Mehta directed officials of the Kota and Bharatpur Excise Zones to achieve the July revenue target in full, stating that any shortfall would be unacceptable. Addressing a departmental review meeting via video conference, he instructed officers to set daily revenue targets and intensify efforts in revenue collection, recovery of outstanding dues, action against illicit liquor, liquor lifting, and auction of seized vehicles. He warned that performance would be reviewed after July 31, and responsibility would be fixed for any failure to meet targets. The Commissioner expressed dissatisfaction with the progress in several excise circles across Baran, Bundi, Jhalawar, Kota, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Karauli, and Sawai Madhopur districts, directing officials to improve performance through daily action plans and stronger enforcement measures. Additional Excise Commissioners presented district-wise reviews on revenue, dues recovery, liquor lifting, and preventive enforcement during the meeting.
