SAPTA SHAKTI COMMAND HOSTS SEMINAR ON TECHNOLOGY AS NEW PARADIGM OF DETERRENCE IN INDIAN SUBCONTINENT
Jaipur: The Gyan Shakti Think Tank (GSTT), under the aegis of Sapta Shakti Command, organised an insightful seminar on the topic ‘Technology as New Paradigm of Deterrence in Indian Subcontinent’ at Jaipur Military Station on 25 July 2026.
The seminar brought together a large number of serving and retired Armed Forces officers, academicians, strategic experts and students from eminent universities, providing a vibrant platform for deliberations on the growing role of technology in the contemporary security environment.
The seminar featured distinguished speakers Lt Gen B S Raju (Retd) and Maj Gen Ravi Murugan, (Retd), who shared their valuable perspectives on the rapidly evolving technological landscape and its implications for national security. Drawing upon their vast operational experience and strategic insights, the speakers highlighted the increasing significance of emerging technologies in shaping the future of warfare and strengthening deterrence.
The deliberations focused on the evolving impact of technology in transforming the character of conflicts, influencing strategic outcomes and reinforcing multi-domain deterrence. The speakers examined the opportunities and challenges arising from advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, cyber capabilities, information warfare and other emerging technologies, while underscoring the need for continuous innovation and adaptation.
The seminar concluded with an engaging question-and-answer session with serving officers, veterans, academicians and students actively interacting with the speakers on the strategic implications of emerging technologies and national security.
Lieutenant General Mohit Malhotra, Army Commander, Sapta Shakti Command, complimented the distinguished speakers for their candid views, insightful analysis and valuable suggestions on a subject of immense strategic importance.
