Rotary Club Udaipur Elite Installs New Team with Focus on Service and Innovation
Udaipur: Rotary Club Udaipur Elite organized the installation ceremony of its new Executive Committee for 2026–27 at a private hotel. Former District Governor and Installation Officer Nirmal Kunawat administered the oath to the newly appointed office-bearers. The ceremony highlighted the club’s commitment to service, innovation, and social responsibility.
Kunawat appreciated the club’s significant initiatives, including providing artificial hands to 250 differently-abled individuals, gifting seven Pink Autos to women drivers, and developing facilities such as toilets and sheds in 25 government schools. He expressed confidence that the new team would continue creating impactful community projects.
President Ramesh Modi announced the club’s key projects for the year, including educational wall charts in government schools. After a successful pilot project at Government Primary School, Ranwadi, the initiative will now cover 20 government schools in Udaipur district with an estimated investment of ₹8 lakh. The club will also conduct tree plantation drives, educational programs, women empowerment initiatives, and environmental projects.
Chief Guest Dr. Lokesh Bharti, District Education Officer (Secondary), emphasized the importance of connecting youth with Indian culture and moral values.
The event also honoured philanthropists Anand Damani and Ramesh Mehta, while former President Kamlesh Talesara received the Rotary International Avenues of Service Award. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Secretary Anita Jain.
